Dr. Shahnoos Mahdavi has been a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician since 2008 involved predominately in acute care settings allowing for a comprehensive understanding of patient needs. She has received an abundance of excellent reviews from patients in the hospital setting.
Dr. Mahdavi has been involved with an array of weight-loss programs involving a multitude of sub-categories of health and wellness options since graduating from medical school in 2000.
Simultaneous internal/external full-body rejuvenation is Dr. Mahdavi’s current focus. With proper medical guidance, hormonal, physical, and emotional oversight by your physician, you can still enjoy your life, physically and emotionally, while having your appearance become the best Novel U ©.
Dr. Mahdavi attended Medical School in Tehran, Iran. Shortly after graduating, she moved to the United States to complete a Post Doctorate Fellowship at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Dr. Mahdavi completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Atlantic Care Medical Center. Since then, she has worked as a Hospitalist Physician at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware and Memorial Care Hospital in Southern Orange County.
In 2021, Dr. Mahdavi embarked on her enduring passion for aesthetics and wellness by incorporating it as a part-time venture within her practice. Her journey informs her distinctive approach to patient care and advocacy for women’s needs through various stages of middle age. Presently, she devotes her full attention to her clinical practice and the well-being of her patients.
Fluent in English and Farsi
Artistry has been Dr. Mahdavi’s favorite pastime. Her artistic eye and talent combined with her medical knowledge will provide the best outcome in your overall appearance.
Office Manager
Bahareh Pakbaz joined Novel U Wellness in March 2024 as the office manager, bringing a unique blend of medical expertise and administrative skills to the team. Her medical journey began in Iran, where she graduated from Tehran University in 2006 with a degree in medicine. Driven by a passion for cosmetic medicine, she operated her own practice and worked in the field for three years before immigrating to the United States.
After immigrating, she focused on raising her two wonderful children—a 10-year-old son and an 8-year-old daughter. Once they began school, she returned to college, successfully completing all the prerequisite courses required to apply for a Physician Assistant (PA) program. Joining the exceptional team at Novel U Wellness has allowed her to further immerse herself in the medical field while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and innovative environment.
She is excited to combine her medical background and dedication to patient care with her future role as a PA and looks forward to contributing to the wellness of the patients alongside the Novel U Wellness team in Long Beach.
Receptionist
Ashley is bilingual and fluent in Spanish and English.
She is currently going to school to pursue her career in psychology as she wishes to work with children and become a child therapist.
Although she is fairly new to the team here at Novel U, she looks forward to continue her journey here and provide the best service possible to patients.
She is committed to contributing in maintaining the uplifting environment and in helping patients feel the best they possibly can both mentally and physically with the help of Dr.Mahdavi.

My journey in the skincare industry began in 2004, driven by a passion for skin health, beauty, and helping people feel confident in their own skin. My goal has always been more than offering a basic facial. I create transformative skin experiences with real, visible results.
I have completed advanced training programs across the United States and continuously update my expertise with the latest clinical techniques and skin science. I am proudly Board Certified in the State of California, which reflects my commitment to the highest professional standards.
My approach combines clinical, result-driven treatments with a luxurious and calming experience. Every face is unique and never routine. From acne and pigmentation to aging and rejuvenation, I focus on treating the root cause, stimulating collagen, and restoring the skin’s natural glow.
What sets my work apart is not only technique, but also an artistic eye, a deep understanding of skin structure, and personalized care. When you leave my treatment room, it is not just your skin that feels renewed. Your confidence and radiance are elevated as well.
